Our home visit program was built to ensure that no patient is left without the psychiatric care they deserve because of a logistical barrier.

What areas do you cover for home visits?
Assertive Comprehensive Care currently provides home visit psychiatric services across Miami-Dade County and Broward County, including North Miami, Miami Beach, Aventura, Hallandale Beach, Hollywood, and surrounding communities. How do I schedule a home visit?
Simply call our office at (305) 204-1209 or submit an appointment request online. Our care coordinator will speak with you to understand your situation, confirm your location, discuss insurance coverage, and schedule a convenient time for your first visit. We typically schedule initial home visits within 5–7 business days of your request.
Is a home visit covered by my insurance?
Yes — home visit psychiatric services are covered by Medicare, Medicaid, and many commercial insurance plans. Coverage varies by policy and the specific services provided. Our billing team verifies your coverage before your first visit so there are no surprise bills. Self-pay rates are available for patients without insurance coverage.
A board-certified psychiatric or a licensed therapists advanced practice provider from our team will conduct your visit. All ACC providers are licensed, credentialed, and carry appropriate professional liability insurance. Every provider undergoes a background check and maintains current clinical training. You will be introduced to your provider before your first visit.
How long does a home visit take?
An initial psychiatric evaluation in the home typically takes 60–90 minutes. Follow-up medication management visits are usually 30–45 minutes. The time allows for a thorough assessment without the pressure of a clinic schedule — we take the time needed to understand your full situation and deliver truly personalized care.
Can you visit patients in nursing homes or assisted living?
Yes. This is a core part of our home visit program. We regularly provide psychiatric services to residents of skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, group homes, and memory care units across South Florida. We coordinate directly with facility staff to ensure our visits are properly scheduled and that our assessments are integrated into the resident’s overall care plan.
