Dr. Nadine Robertson, MD

Psychiatrist & Clinical Director

Dr. Nadine Robertson, MD is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist and the Clinical Director (Medical Director) at Assertive Comprehensive Care, Inc. A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine, Dr. Robertson brings comprehensive clinical experience in diagnosing and treating the full range of psychiatric conditions, including mood disorders, anxiety, schizophrenia, OCD, PTSD, and co-occurring substance use disorders. Licensed in multiple states and deeply committed to patient-centered, evidence-based care, she leads the Assertive team with clinical excellence, compassion, and a strong focus on integrated, culturally competent services for individuals of all ages.

Jose D. Lorenzo

Office Manager

Jose D. Lorenzo is the Office Manager at Assertive Comprehensive Care, Inc., where he plays a vital leadership role in ensuring daily operations run smoothly and patients receive the highest standard of care. Known for his exceptional multitasking abilities, strong communication skills, and natural empathy; Jose is both brilliant and deeply dedicated to the mission of mental health care. He is currently pursuing his Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with the goal of becoming a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). Passionate about psychiatry and mental health, Jose leads with warmth, capability, and a sincere commitment to the well-being of every patient and team member he supports.

Dayana Rodríguez Martinez

Co-Founder, Co-Owner & Chief Financial Officer

Dayana Rodríguez Martinez, FEP, AGNP, is the Co-Founder, Co-Owner, and Chief Financial Officer of Assertive Comprehensive Care, Inc. A Foreign Educated Physician (Medical Doctor from Cuba) and a board-certified Adult and Gerontology Nurse Practitioner, Dayana brings decades of hands-on experience in the medical field, enriched by a deep understanding of psychiatric care. Her unique clinical insight, cultural fluency, and leadership make her an indispensable force behind the practice’s growth and operational excellence. With a sharp strategic mind and unwavering compassion, Dayana is driven by a profound commitment to mental health equity, especially among underserved and multicultural communities. Her leadership helps ensure that Assertive Comprehensive Care delivers not just high-quality psychiatric services—but care that is culturally attuned, accessible, and truly transformative.

José A. Cancio

Founder, Owner & Chief Executive Officer

José A. Cancio is a Double Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), and the Founder, Owner, and Chief Executive Officer of Assertive Comprehensive Care, Inc. He provides personalized, trauma-informed psychiatric care to patients of all ages, specializing in complex cases involving mood disorders, anxiety, psychosis, PTSD, ADHD, and personality disorders. Known for his compassionate and culturally sensitive approach, José integrates evidence-based medication management with supportive therapy to help patients regain stability, insight, and hope. He is deeply committed to accessibility and equity in mental health, offering both in-person and telehealth services and working with most major insurance plans.

Jorge Álvarez Hernández

Psyciatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Jorge Álvarez Hernández, is a Board-Certified Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Assertive Comprehensive Care, Inc., providing compassionate, evidence-based care to patients of all ages. He treats a wide range of mental health conditions—including anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and psychosis—through personalized evaluations, medication management, and supportive therapy. Known for his calm, attentive approach, Jorge builds strong therapeutic relationships and is highly praised by patients for his professionalism, empathy, and clear communication.
